About Me

Hello! My name is Jeff. Right now, I live in Milford, Connecticut. I grew up in the borough of Rose Valley, Pennsylvania. There were woods, a creek, a statue of a beaver, some old mills, and just down the street was Hedgerow Theatre, the oldest permanent repertory theater in the country.

I started taking theater classes at Hedgerow when I was five years old, and grew into being a multi-disciplinary theater artist. I’ve performed all over the country, including productions with theaters such as Music Theatre of Connecticut, Elm Shakespeare Company, Palm Beach Dramaworks, Folger Shakespeare Library, New Stage Theatre, Arc Stages, and the Texas and South Dakota Shakespeare Festivals. I’ve also been a director, dialect coach, musical director, and composer (including winning an award for composing a production of Twelfth Night – William Shakespeare has become a frequent collaborator).

I’ve also been a theater educator for nearly 20 years. I’m currently an Adjunct Professor at Southern Connecticut State University (primarily teaching Voice and Diction – I’m a certified Miller Voice Method teacher), and have directed/taught in youth programs including Arc Stages, Stagedoor Manor, Inside Broadway, Sharon Playhouse, ACT of Connecticut, and Treetop Arts in NSW, Australia.

Beyond my theater work, I’m a professional origami artist and teacher. I’ve taught paper folding to students of all ages and walks of life, from corporate workshops with Amazon, Netflix, and The United Nations to students of all ages in schools, libraries, etc.

I’m also a corporate communication skills trainer, co-facilitating workshops with Lepaya that help employees develop soft skills in the workplace, including interpersonal influence, conflict management, and professional growth.

I’m a shamanic practitioner. I spent time in Ecuador with indigenous healers learning to administer the traditional Andean La Limpia cleansing ceremony, and am certified in shamanic practices and Reiki.

I hold degrees from George Washington University’s Academy for Classical Acting (MFA), New York Univeristy/Steinhardt (BM) and trained at the Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre and Circus Warehouse. No matter what medium I’m sharing, I believe in the importance of healing, activating creativity, and empowering authenticity.
